The Gators used three first half goals to put this one away. All-Stater Alex Canfield led the way with a goal and an assist. Michal Dejworek and Tom Coughlin added scores, and Colton Weidner contributed an assist. Goalkeeper Carson Hill made one save for the shutout. Crystal Lake South, ranked 12th in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, improved to 12-3-4, 6-0-1.

Grayslake Central 4, Grant 1
Marko Marynevych upped his season total to 13 goals with a brace, and Thomas Ramsey produced a trio of assists in the Senior Night win. Daniel Marynevych's goal was his seventh of the season -- all have been recorded in the last eight games. Christian Hinestrosa capped the scoring, and James Rohlfing created an assist. Goalkeeper Jonathan Piggott made four saves. The Rams concluded the regular season 7-11-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the league. "We didn't start the game the way we would've wanted, but the boys refocused and played a much better second half. We're happy to earn the W for our seniors tonight, but tomorrow it's back to work as we get ready for playoffs," said coach Tom Hamilton.

Cam Labbato and Julio Torres scored to keep the no. 11 Lions (11-3-2, 5-0-0) atop the conference race with a one-game lead over no. 23 Oak Park and River Forest with one to play. Keeper Bradley De Bour made seven saves in the win.

Vernon Hills 1, Glenbrook South 0
Vernon Hills posted the upset with a 77th-minute goal from Zidan Chaires over slumping Glenbrook South (10-6-3), which has gone 4-5-0 after a 6-1-3 start. Next up for the Titans is a nonconference meeting at Waukegan at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
