Deerfield 4, Grant 0
The victorious Warriors survived a slow start that yielded four corners to the Bulldogs in the first three minutes of the match. Deerfield earned one of its own in the sixth minute, and Nikita Bankevich pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area to make it 1-0. Halfway through the half, Ko Vandeneijkhoff picked off a pass from his center back position, carried the ball upfield and unleashed a rocket from 35 yards that dipped just under the crossbar to make it 2-0. Bankevich added his second on an assist from Caden Howell at 23:49. Nicholas Prus finished off a great sequence for the final goal at 69:17. Bankevich fed Logan Wallis in the center of the penalty area. With his back to goal, Wallis drew two defenders and laid the ball off for Prus, who hammered it in the upper corner at the near post.
