The host Warriors jumped on top of the Warhawks early with Ari Wainer blasting an unassisted effort just under the bar after 5:51. Nick Prus doubled the advantage with a rocket off the keeper and in at 11:44. Despite a 16-0 advantage in shots, the margin remained 2-0 until halftime. Less than two minutes into the second half, Wainer and Ryan Gomez executed a give-and-go on the edge of the area, and Wainer fired home his second of the night. Ryder Coleman made it 4-0 on a penalty kick at 47:48. Grayson Clark played a ball down the left flank for Wainer, who whipped a cross into the far post for Coleman, who ripped a volley off the crossbar and in at 50:24. Wainer completed his hat-trick after Spencer Meyers stole the ball in the midfield and led Wainer, whose shot crashed off the underside of the crossbar and down into the goal. The Warhawks pulled two goals back in the final 10 minutes for the final margin. The Warriors advance to play Carmel on Wednesday afternoon at Deerfield.
