"This was a great nonconference friendly against a first-class program and coach in Darren Llewellyn, who has his guys well organized and always ready to compete. Today was no different," said Gators coach Brian Allen. "Even without (all-state midfielder) Tom Coughlin (recruiting trip), every one of our guys competed hard for the full 80. I'm very proud of their ability to battle back after falling behind against a team that defends as well as Buffalo Grove (4-9-2) does."
Buffalo Grove moves to 4-9-2.
Oak Forest 3, St. Rita 1
After trailing 1-0 at the break, red hot junior forward Ian Plancarte saved the day with a second half hat trick. Oak Forest improved to 9-4-3.
