Trevor Jones and Tim Wheeler had a goal and an assist apiece for the Cadets, who led 3-1 at intermission. Nick Grant and Sean Miller contributed goals and Joe Duffield added an assist for Marimion Academy (1-9-0, 5-2-0). Matt Fletcher contributed 2 saves in goal. The Cadets host East Aurora at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Joey Wood had 2 goals and an assist to help give the Spartans something to celebrate on the long bus ride home from Kankakee. David Gianos and Keenan Corrigan added goals and Nicholas Roehl, J.P. Clifford, Henry Roback and Jose Zepeda chipped in with helpers for St. Francis (7-7-3, 4-2-1). Jonathan Burke (5 saves) and Ryan Scharf (1 save) shared the shutout. The Spartans meet Glenbard South on Saturday.

After Fenton scored in the first three minutes of the contest, Benet answered with goals from Connor Mote, who capitalized on a failed clearance; Andrew Heaton, who headed in goal two by redirecting a header from Bennett Curtis on a corner kick from Mote; and Kyle Kenagy, who scored on an open net after Daniel Morefield's initial shot was deflected by the keeper. Konrad Bayer and Nick Senak shared time in goal and made 4 saves apiece.

Christian Sosnowski and Angel Lopez were among the goal scorers for the Eagles, who upset the Lions on their home pitch and ended Lyons four-game winning streak.

The Warriors won their final home game before facing Wheaton South on the road Saturday. Wheaton Academy got goals from Ty Seager, assisted by Jacob Kapitaniuk, Reid Culberson, assisted by Seager, and Luis Rocha, assisted by Grant Rougas.
