It was a family affair in the win for the 16th-ranked Gators. Senior Tyler Getzinger recorded a second half brace, and freshman brother Nolan tallied the opening goal to lead Crystal Lake South (2-0-0, 1-0-0). Tom Coughlin and Sam Bahnfleth provided helpers. Goalkeeper Dominic Timberlake made eight saves.

Peter Straus had two goals and an assist, and Ari Wainer added one of each for Deeerfield (2-0-2).
Glenbard North 4, Glenbard South 2
Nathanial Enriquez notched a goal and two assists to lead the Panthers to their first win of the season. Luis Roman, John Salazar and Gabe Jurado added goals, and Raul Pasillas chipped in with an assist. Glenbard North opened the scoring 25 minutes into the game with Roman's goal off an Enriquez assist. The score held up until Glenbard South tied the game with 20 minutes to play. Salazar (Enriquez) connected two minutes later, and Jurado (Pasillas) claimed the game-winner in the 63rd minute. After Glenbard South pulled one back in the 72nd minute, Enriquez put the game away with a 77th-minute PK. The 29th-ranked Panthers host Geneva at 7 p.m. Tuesday in their home opener.
St. Charles East 7, Bartlett 1
The eighth-ranked Fighting Saints pulled away with a five-goal second half. Alex Mancera (unassisted) and Ryan Vandeveer (Champine) built a 2-0 halftime lead for the hosts. Sam Wade scored a brace after the break and Sebastian Carranza, Luca Avendano and Gaetano D'Argento finished the scoring. Carranza (2), Mancera and Peter Peric posted assists. Goalkeeper Tyler Barnhart was perfect in 40 minutes of work, and Jordan Rolon worked a clean 20 minutes for St. Charles East, which swept its season-opening three-game homestand.
South Elgin 1, DeKalb 0
Nick Flores scored off a give-and-go header from Ethan Crawford for the first half game-winner. Keeper Zach Juszko made one save to record the clean-sheet for the Storm (1-0-0).
Stevenson 2, Timothy 1
The young Trojans, who started two freshmen and three sophomores put up a strong fight against their Class 3A opponent. Freshman substitute Hendrik DeVries scored in the 64th minute after an assist from senior Mike Vogt. Senior keeper Jason Westra kept Timothy in the game with strong saves.
