The Redwings, ranked fourth in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, were in no way groggy for their 9 a.m. road game after a 1-0 win at no. 18 Naperville Central on Friday night. Benet built a 4-0 halftime lead on braces from seniors Hans Haenicke and Anthony Klos. The Redwings (3-1-0, 1-0-0) added four more goals after the half from Preston Wray, Andy Nash and two from Nico Picha, who also had an assist. Benet also received helpers from Nick Roe, Chris Mankowski (two), Wray, Sam Hepburn, John Kolb and Damian Mietus. Keepers Nolan Hart and Evan Lucas shared the clean-sheet. The Trojans maintained control in their league opener. Senior Joshua Bode paced the hosts with a brace, and sophomore Carter Day added a goal. Senior Josh Kiefer and sophomore Cam Baker dished out assists. Senior center back Mike Vogt paced the defense for Timothy (2-1-0, 1-0-0), which hosts Wheaton Academy in a top, league matchup at 6 p.m. Monday.

Eagan Reams knocked in five goals after returning from COVID-19 protocol to lead the Cogs (1-1-0). Jorge Leon had a big day with a goal and five assists, and John Wolcott and Gerardo Morales contributed a brace apiece. Javier Pizano and Diego Espinoza chipped in with assists for the winners.
New Trier 6, Prospect 2
Seventh-ranked New Trier remained umblemished (6-0-0) with the home win in front of an estimated crowd of more than 200 socially distanced fans. Dante Mitchell (brace) and Will Franzen (goal, two assists) paced the attack. Ronan O'Neill, Peter Kanellos and Peter Norehad contributed goals, and Zach Moskowitz, Rowan Simon and Collin Donnelly-Maine registered assists.
St. Charles East 3, Metea Valley 1
The Fighting Saints built a 3-0 lead en route to the win. Gaetano D’Argento scored a brace to top the scoring column for no. 6 St. Charles East (4-1-1). Sebastian Carranza gave the hosts a 1-0 halftime lead on an assist from Elia Desario. Josh Ruiz provided the helper on the final goal. Goalkeeper Tyler Benhart made five saves in the win which upped the Saints home unbeaten streak to five (4-0-1).
South Elgin 0, Naperville Central 0
The Storm held off no. 18 Naperville Central in a game played at Elgin Stadium. Zach Juszko earned a shutout with five saves for South Elgin (2-0-1).
Wheaton Academy 7, Bishop McNamara 0
The host's unbeaten streak increased to five games behind a first half brace from Robert Platt, and a goal and assist each from Troy Erickson and Haetham Nasr. Evan Eckert, Caleb Mariotti and Jude Barton also scored. Andrew Ramirez, Joshua Mariotti, Lucas Landstrom, Xander Anaya and Josiah Pitt tossed in helpers. Goalkeepers Declan Finnegan (one save, 20 minutes played) and Brandon Hoekstra (one, 60) split the Warriors second shutout of the season. Wheaton Academy will put its 25-game conference division win streak on the line when it travels to Timothy on Monday.
