The Redwings, ranked sixth in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, continued their momentum with a second-consecutive impressive East Suburban Catholic Conference win. After topping Joliet Catholic 8-0 Saturday, Benet put together a dominant four-goal first half against the RedHawks. Senior Preston Wray scored off a Sam Hepburn assist just 40 seconds in. Senior Hans Haenicke followed about 11 minutes later with help from Wray. Sophomores Andy Nash and Danny Boyle assisted each other's goal to end the scoring. Sophomore goalie Evan Lucas was not tested in the first half; senior keeper Nolan Hart made a save in the second 40 minutes to keep Marist off the board. The Redwings (4-1-0, 2-0-0) continue ESCC play at 10 a.m. Saturday at Marian Central.
