Goalkeeper Sara Swoboda made 10 saves. Wheaton Academy (2-1-0, 1-0-0) returns to Metro Suburban Conference play when it travels to Ridgewood at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

After a two-goal first half, the Blue Devils, ranked third in Chicagoland Soccer's First 50 state-wide preseason poll, broke the game open. Liza Matimore led the way a brace and two assists, and Emily Soriaga added a brace and one assist. Amber Langosch, who also had an assisst, Ella Skelton and Katelyn Crowson produced solo tallies. Melissa Cote, Samantha Pullins and Liv Ehlers contributed assists. Trish Georgiou and Myka Smith each made two saves to share the shutout. Warren is in action next at Grayslake Central on Wednesday.

The Falcons broke out of the gate with a rush behind four goals and an assist from Kayla Shebar, and a brace and three assists from Julia Simon in her prep debut. Olivia Moreno added a goal and assist, and Zoey Bohmer notched two helpers. Hannah Lang earned the shutout.
