Streamwood's Sabres fell behind 1-0 at halftime on the way to a 3-0 loss to St. Charles East. Yasmine Resendiz made 4 saves in the first half for the Sabres, and Nathalie Guindon made 4 saves in the second half. Streamwood dropped to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in conference.
Valley Division
Metea Valley 3, South Elgin 0
Metea Valley had first-half goals by Jade Eriksen-Russo, assisted by Maeve Riordan, and Alena Sidwell, assisted by Katie Kennedy. Sidwell added her second goal early in the second half, with a helper from Sara Severson. Metea goalkeeper Amy Ahern stopped all four chances. The winners moved to 3-1-2, and meet Batavia in a rescheduled game at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Nonconference
Bartlett 1, Jacobs 0
Jenna Dombrowski scored the lone goal for Bartlett, assisted by Mariela Alba, at the 60-minute mark. Defensive starters Melissa Gal, Miranda Hedeen, Jamie Kenna and Shannon Brohan achieved their third shutout in a row. Bartlett keeper Tessa Jatczak saved all six shots in earning her first full-game shutout of the season. Bartlett moves to 4-2 on the season, and will face Hoffman Estates at 10 a.m. Saturday.
