Brealyn Viamille and Katarina Sehgal scored to advance the Wildkits (13-5-2) to the final. Callista O'Connor and Keara Kerr each pitched in with their eighth assist of the season. Evanston, ranked 20th in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, will host no. 8 Lane at 6 p.m. at home Friday.
At Libertyville
Warren 4, Mundelein 1
The Blue Devils avenged a recent 2-0 North Suburban Conference loss on a brace from Annika Attiah and single scores from Cate Cullison and Courtney Chomko, who also added an assist. Elizabeth Weinberg notched two assists, and Ella Skelton had one. Goalkeeper Alana Turner made one save in the first half, and Sarah Barbosa made a trio in the second half. Warren improved to 12-8-3 and meets host Libertyville for the title on Friday.
At Naperville Central
Neuqua Valley 5, Yorkville 1
The no. 9 Wildcats broke the game open with three goals in the second half. Piper Biziorek led the way with a second half brace, and Erin McCarthy, Alison Dovalovsky and Kristen Hopkins added solo tallies. Bella Espinoza, Shannon Tagler and Danielle Hopkins distributed assists. Kasey Gillespie made two saves for Neuqua Valley.
Naperville Central 4, Plainfield East 1
Goals from Maliya Velker, Alyssa Lanzon and Sarah Scoles, who also had an assist, gave the Redhawks an insurmountable 3-0 lead. Liz Bayert capped the scoring, and Liz Barker, Maddie Mills and Siarrah Smith supplied helpers. Goalkeeper Amber Hunter made three saves in the win for the Redhawks (10-8-1).
At Palatine
Lake Zurich 4, Palatine 2
Thirteenth-seeded Palatine put a scare into the four-seed. The Pirates scored the first goal off a corner kick from Ann Luo that bounced around in the box before Olivia Radtke knocked it home. Lake Zurich took a 2-1 with a goal just before intermission and another in the 41st minute. Palatine fought back and pulled even after drawing a foul in the box that led to Grace Marion's PK conversion. Palatine caught an unfortunate break in the 77th minute after a Lake Zurich shot hit the crossbar and appeared to bounce straight down. Play continued and the ball was cleared, but a goal was ruled after a conference between the referees. A Palatine own goal ended the scoring.
