The Fighting Saints, ranked no. 1 in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, took down the 15th-ranked Falcons the hard way -- with only 10 players. After a soft red, St. Charles East (10-0-0, 7-0-0) played with 10 for the final 60 minutes. Ashley Stellon and McKenna Gahagan shared duties for scoring and assisting. Stellon's opener came while the Saints were at full strength. Gahagan's second half tally put the visitors up 2-0. Keeper Sophia Iori worked the first half without facing a shot on goal; after the break Grace Stehman made four saves and allowed the only goal for Wheaton North (5-2-1, 3-2-1), which lost its second-straight league match.

Julianna Park (Maddie Rossi assist) scored in the 14th minute and that goal held up until Rian Spaulding (Makenna Collins) ended the suspense one minute from time. Keeper Kara Claussner made six saves the the clean-sheet for no. 25 St. Charles North (4-3-2, 4-2-1).

Fifth-ranked Warren could not pull off the upset against no. 2 Libertyville. Goalkeeper Trish Georgiou made three saves for the Blue Devils (6-1-3, 0-1-0) (0-1), who meet Mundelein on Monday.
