Naperville Central 4, Plainfield North 1
The top-seeded Redhawks (12-1-4) answered an early goal and 1-0 halftime deficit with braces after the break from Molly O’Rear and Megan Norkett, who assisted Naperville Central’s opener. Sam Sharp and Abby O’Connor added helpers. Second half keeper Abbey O’Connor shut out Plainfield North and made two saves. The Redhawks host the winner of no. 5 Waubonsie Valley and fourth-seeded Metea Valley at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Morton Sectional
Benet 5, Glenbard East 0
Jaimee Cibulka scored twice for top-seeded Benet (17-0-0). Rachel Burns added a goal and an assist. Mariana Pinto and Paige Neri knocked in a goal apiece. Nora Hanson delivered two assists, and Katie Lewellyan and Anna Casmere each created one. Shannon Clark earned the shutout. Benet faces upstart Oak Park and River Forest in a sectional semifinal at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Huskies won a regional Friday as a 12th-seed.
Warren Sectional
Warren 3, Lake Forest 0
Amber Langosch and Ella Skelton scored four minutes apart to give the second-seed a comfortable lead after only 11 minutes. Skelton assisted the opener, and Emma Paraskos chalked up the second. Liza Matimore concluded the scoring with help from Langosch in the 79th minute. Trish Georgiou made three saves for the clean-sheet. Warren improved to 15-1-3 and advances to the semifinals Tuesday when it will face the winner of the Saturday match between third-seeded Stevenson and 11-seed Prospect.
