After going down 1-0 midway through the second half, Yorkville sophomore J.C. Noyola rallied his team with a well-placed direct kick goal. Several minutes later, classmate sophomore Preston Huitron slipped a through-ball to senior Julio Segura who calmly converted the winning goal. Senior captains Alex Barrientos, Jake Rodgers, and Peyton Senffner played strong and calmed the team in the tough match. Brandon Ducoing made several key saves that kept his team in contention. The Foxes (1-0-0) continue their Barb Cup run Thursday at 6:30 against Sterling.

The Warriors (1-0-0) overcame their 20th-ranked foe behind an olimpico goal from Nicholas Prus in the 59th minute and the game-winner frm Joey Puyear off a Jude Tatham assist in the 68th minute.

Alex Canfield continued his early season tear with a first half brace en route to the win. Tom Coughlin and Colton Weidner added second half tallies, and Andrew Edge, Brad Grabowski and Ryan Coughlin added helpers for the Gators (2-0-0). Keepers Matt McCaleb and Oscar Campos made one save apiece in the shutout. Crystal Lake South travels to Streamwood on Thursday.

The host Warriors built a 2-0 halftime lead with goals from Seamus Kilgallon (Jack Kilgallon) and Jack Kilgallon (Owen Setran). Batavia tightened the game up on a PK with 17 minutes left, but Owen Setran put the game out of reach with a Jack Kilgallon assist. No. 12 Wheaton Academy (1-0-0) hosts Geneva at 2 p.m. Saturday.
