Lake Forest Academy 2, Deerfield 1
Lake Forest Academy took the lead on an 18-yard shot into the upper 90 after a Deerfield turnover in the 28th minute. The Warriors (0-2-0), who played most of the second half with 9 in the field after receiving a red card for a last man foul, gave up a second goal after a missed clearance. Deerfield's score came with two minutes left. After a free kick crossed into the box, Cory Johnson's shot was blocked, but the loose ball was put away by Jacob Braunstein. Keeper Ryan Grady recorded five saves, and Ross Fisher added two when Grady came out due to an injury.

Buffalo Grove 4, Stevenson 1
The Bison opened the season with back-to-back wins. Buffalo Grove prevailed on two PK goals from Kevin Eloiza and single tallies from Michael Botello (Kyle Adams assist) and Jon Peici (Botello).
Naperville North 2, Oswego East 0
The Huskies, ranked no. 1 in the Chicagoland Soccer Preseason Top 25, won their second game in as many days. Patrick Koenig scored his third goal of the season for Naperville North (2-0-0), and Will Ritzman added a tally. Jack Barry and Jack Hill contributed assists. Keeper Tommy Welch recorded his second shutout.
Plainfield East 5, Marmion 1
After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Marmion saw its deficit double on a 40-yard service that went over its keeper's reach at the 60-minute mark. Plainfield East scored its last three goals in the final eight minutes of the game. The Cadets (0-2-0) avoided the shutout on James Serrano's goal in the 78th minute. Marmion is off until Monday, when it faces Jacobs in the opening round of the Barrington Classic.
St. Charles East 2, West Aurora 2
The host Saints rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to earn the draw in their season opener. Colin Coine and Truitt Battin (George Maridis assist) scored for no. 17 St. Charles East, which travels to no. 15 Naperville Central on Thursday.
Streamwood 1, Bartlett 0
Aldo Lazaro scored 12 seconds into the game and that was all the Sabres needed in the season debut for both teams. Oscar Chavez provided the assist. Keepers Daniel Dominguez (one save in first half) and Hector Alfaro (one save) split the shutout.
