Matt Makowiec and Oscar Cifuentes each scored goals within 3 minutes of each other early in the second half, and David Duwal and Jesus Mancha combined for Leyden's first shutout of the season.

Deerfield 2, Highland Park 0
The Warriors jumped on top in the 16th minute when Cory Johnson's cross was knocked home from close range by Ryan David. Deerfield doubled the advantage in the 30th minute when keeper Ryan Grady grabbed a cross and launched a quick punt over the defense for Nikita Bankevich to run on to. Bankevich shielded off a defender and beat the keeper with a low shot to the corner. Solid play from the Warriors made the lead hold for the rest of the game. Ryan Grady made 9 saves for the clean sheet, including a double save on a breakaway in the 67th minute.

New Trier 5, Buffalo Grove 0
After a scoreless first half, the 13th-ranked Trevians' offense came alive with two goals each from senior forward Ryan Krueger and junior midfielder Logan Weaver. Will Felitto capped things off with a header goal off of a corner kick. One of Krueger’s goals was a PK drawn by junior forward Sean Gooze. GK Sam Warden earned his first shutout of the season, including a huge save early in the second half when the game was still scoreless. New Trier improved to 3-0-0.
Waukegan 5, St. Charles East 1
The no. 17 Fighting Saints couldn't overcome a four-goal first half blitz from 20th-ranked Waukegan. Truit Battin scored on an assist from Tyler Villanueva for St. Charles East (1-1-1).

Naperville North 1, Morton 1
After a scoreless first half, top-ranked Naperville North (4-0-0) broke the ice on an Ian Guppy goal (Jack Barry assist). No. 5 Morton tied the game on a PK, which was the first goal scored against GK Tommy Welch this season.
St. Charles North 5, Kaneland 1
The North Stars (2-0-0) broke a 1-1 tie at the break with a 4-goal flurry in an 11-minute second half span. Bernard Elegbede and Jake Persenico led the way with two goals and an assist apiece. Gabriel D'Amico also tallied a goal, and Connor Bettini and Logan Michels registered assists for no. 21 St. Charles North.
