Lucas Reutimann's second half brace helped South Elgin post a five-game win streak for the week. Angel Garcia-Resendiz contributed an assist and keeper Zach Juszko made three saves for the clean-sheet for the Storm (8-6-3). A win over Bartlett at 11 a.m. Saturday would give the Storm the title. Upstate Eight foe East Aurora is up next at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Drew Maytum (unassisted) and Justin Leszynski (Jose Santos-DeSoto) gave the Titans a first half lead they did not relinquish. Alex Martin (Michael Sanchez) capped the scoring. Goalkeepers Christian Noordover and Aris Edlund split the halves to share the shutout.

A 72nd-minute goal was the difference. The Titans, who are ranked 21st in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, now stand at 8-4-3 on the season.

The no. 3 Huskies got goals from six different players in the rout. Freshman defender Alex Barger and senior foward Patrick Koenig led the offense with a goal and an assist apiece. Ty Konrad, Sebastian Babayan, Zach Smith and Vince Li added goals, and Cesar Recendez and Spencer Gaccione chipped in with assists. Goalkeepers Jason Barba and Pablo Jara each got a piece of the shutout.
New Trier 4, Whitefish Bay (Wis.) 0
In the first meeting between the teams, the no. 7 Trevians received a second half brace from Will Gerstein, a goal and an assist from Alex Powell and two assists from Sunjay Joshi to pace the win. Peter Kanellos also scored, and Will Franzen Alex Glueck added assists, Keepers Aidan Crawford (two saves) and Chase Mazzier (two) split the shutout for New Trier 10-1-2 which faces a rivalry battle in Evanston on Tuesday with the Central Suburban League South Division crown on the line.
