The no. 13 Huskies continued on their undefeated season-opening run behind 2 goals and an assist from Saul Casillas and a brace from Matt Dickey. Christian Castro and Thomas Skiba each added 2 assists apiece. Steve Custer and Jesse Lopez rounded out the goals, and Danny Gritt the helpers for Hersey (4-0-1).

The Sabres dropped their first game and missed their chance at the tourney final. Daniel Dominguez made 7 saves for Streamwood (3-1-1), which will play in the third place match at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Naperville Central 0, Sandburg 0 (NC wins PKs 2-1)
The fifth-ranked Redhawks remained undefeated in group play and gave coach Troy Adams his 100th-career victory. Naperville Central (3-0-2) took the shootout on conversions from Zack Kokes, and Griffin Geisler on the fifth shot. Wesley Sprague (5 saves), Ethan Conners (4 saves) split the shutout. Sprague made two saves in the shootout.
The Redhawks meet Plainfield North on Saturday morning to decide who will play in the 6 p.m. final.
Plainfield North 2, Bartlett 1
An unassisted Julio Diaz goal wasn't enough for the Hawks, who fell to 0-3-1. Jeremy Taylor (2 saves) and Zac Rebac (6) split time in goal for Bartlett, which ends its Best of the West slate against Sandburg at noon Saturday at Naperville Central.

After a scoreless first half, the Redwings took over with a quick flurry. Ben Kelly scored the first 2 goals in the 54th and 57th minutes and assisted on Donald Wilkins goal in the 58th minute. Franklin Rutkowski assisted Kelly's tallies. Brian Gould made 3 saves to earn the shutout. Benet (2-1-0) meets Naperville North in its final pool play game at 10 a.m. Saturday. Oswego keeper Nick Kearns made 7 saves for the Panthers (0-4-0), who meet Fremd at noon Saturday in their tourney finale.

The no. 8 Blue Devils dominated behind Richie Flores 3 goal-2 assist evening and Bryan Galvan's hat trick. Kody Anderson added a goal and 2 assists; Ruben Delgadillo and Hugo Flores completed the scoring. Jason Schulz, Noe Rodriguez and Niko Jokic contibuted helpers. Goalkeepers Jeffery Pioquinto and Hunter Faurbo split the shutout for 5-0-1 Warren.

Glenbard North 7, Juarez 1
The Panthers (3-0-0) earned the right to defend their tournament title with the win. No. 20 Glenbard North was led by Abood Nasr's 3-goal, 1-assist performance. Jacob Scheufler amd Danny Koeller each tallied a goal and an assist. Livre Emena and Brian Dasso rounded out the scoring, and goalkeeper Sam Pauling, Eduardo Guereca, Danny Le and Cristian Perez put their names in the assist column. Pauling and Martin Lopez each made three saves.
The Panthers, who breezed through Pool 2 by a 16-2 aggregate score will rematch Addison Trail for the title at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Crystal Lake South 4, Hononegah 2
The Gators rebounded from a 1-0 halftime deficit to notch their fourth-straight win. Oscar Campos, Alex Canfield, Nikolas Getzinger and Brad Grabowski scored the goals, and Andrew Grabowski posted three assists. Spencer Traub (2 saves) and Brandon Gorka (2) split net duties. Hononegah's Cooper Jevremovic posted 10 saves in the loss.
Deerfield 5, Ridgewood 2
The Warriors got started early when Matt Grady intercepted a pass and fed Wes Miller, who sent Cory Johnson in for a breakaway finish.
Ridgewood took the halftime lead on a 23rd minute penalty-kick and free-kick score in the 36th minute.
Deerfield responded with a 4-goal blitz in an 18-minute span. Louis Solovy completed a steal-and-score sequence in the 57th minute. Three minutes later, Nikita Bankevich laid off a perfect pass for Grady, who buried a shot just under the crossbar from 15 yards. In the 64th minute Collin Hinds finished Grady’s lofted free-kick into the area. Bankevich closed out the scoring in the 75th minute with a one-touch finish from 25 yards that looped over the keeper, bounced off the post and in. Matt Swill got the assist on the play for the Warriors (1-4-0).
