Roundup (Thursday, September 13)
Northern Lake County Conference
Grayslake Central 2, Lakes 2
Jack Kulis and Dani Orozco scored unassisted goals for Grayslake Central (1-9-1, 0-1-1). Keeper Alexis Garcia Perez did his part with five saves.
"We played one heck of a game today," said coach Thomas Hamilton. "Lakes punished a couple sloppy clearances, but other than a few of those moments we defended well as a unit, controlled the bulk of the possession and tempo, and created some quality chances going forward. We're a little disappointed we didn't get the W, but we found our fire so to speak, and we've kept ourselves alive in conference. We still have work to do, but this was a big step in the right direction."
