The Panthers (4-4-2) got the home victory with a goal in each half. Diego Chicas directed the opening score when he played a great cross to Carlos Villagrana who put it away. In the second half Cristian Escobedo finished off a rebound off a great chance by Pablo DeLaCruz. Stavros Veremis made four saves for his fourth shutout of the season. The Panthers return to DuKane Conference play Tuesday night as Batavia.
Libertyville 1, Huntley 0
Mateo Portillo scored the game-winner after an Andrew Phillps assist. Keeper Mike Krokonas only needed to make one save for the clean-sheet for the Wildcats (6-3-1).
Mundelein 2, Crystal Lake South 1
The Gators couldn't hold their 1-0 halftime lead. Michal Dejworek scored on a Tomas Slawek assist, but Crystal Lake South (8-2-1) had no answer to Mundelein's pair of second half goals. The Mustangs improved to 5-4-2.
South Elgin 2, Geneva 1
After a scoreless first half, Ryan Doherty delivered the win for the Storm (3-5-3) with the unassisted game-winner after he assisted Lucas McMillan's tally. Goalkeeper Luke Bondi made five saves in the win. South Elgin will try to build its first win streak of the season to three games at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Larkin.
