Cristian Perez broke a 2-2 second half tie at 62 minutes, and Edwin Zizumbo capped the game off with his third goal in the 73rd as the Mustangs, ranked no. 1 in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, put away no. 4 Lyons. Romario Iniguez added an assist for Morton.

The ninth-ranked Sun Warriors (12-1-0) escaped a scare in their shootout win in a matchup between the last two Class AA state champions. Keeper Joel Estrada made four saves in regulation for Solorio. Carson Hill stopped seven shots for the Gators. The no. 23 Gators (7-3-2) closed a memorable tournament run in the hard-fought match. Crystal Lake South's other loss in the event was a 2-1 loss to no. 1 Morton.

Streamwood's scoring woes continued in the loss. Goalkeeper Eduardo DelRio made five saves for the Sabres (4-6-2), who look to rebound when they host Upstate Eight foe Glenbard South at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Wheaton Academy 3, Bradley-Bourbonnais 1
Logan Finnegan scored in the 37th minute and added two assists for the Warriors. Wheaton Academy struck twice in the first 10 minutes. Jack Liechty scored his first varsity goal in the sixth minute, and was followed by Daniel Rychenkov first goal of the season. Justin Riddle assisted the final goal. Keeper Andrew Hoekstra recorded three saves in the match, including a momentum-shifting PK stop just before halftime. Undefeated Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division leader Wheaton Academy (6-3-1) returns to league play at home Tuesday evening against St. Edward.
