The visiting Storm held a 2-1 halftime lead, but couldn't stop the West Chicago offense in the second half. Kendall Andrewin recorded a brace for South Elgin (1-9-3, 1-2-1). Ashton Kerrigan and Jack Schmidtke collected the assists. The team will try to stop its two-game conference losing streak when it hosts East Aurora on Wednesday.
Nonconference
Warren 2, Wauconda 0
Matt Paraskos assisted Chris Crowson's game-winner in the 42nd minute and scored an insurance goal after a helper from Ryan Stanciak in the 78th. Edgar Gonzalez made three stops for the clean-sheet for the Blue Devils (8-3-1). "Wauconda plays a very nice brand of soccer and are extremely dangerous on all set pieces," said Warren coach Jason Ahonen. "Very proud of the way that our backline played once again. It seems like each game they get more and more comfortable playing together in a three-man system. Super happy for Chris Crowson who scored his first varsity goal on a wonderful flick header that found the far post on a corner. Ryan Stanciak's goal kick was struck well and found Matty Paraskos who broke away for the second goal."
