The Spartans gave their guests their first league loss of the season. Luc Swiatek scored in the 14th minute after a Cooper Winslow assist, and St. Francis made the goal hold up. Simon Hartle made six saves in the third shutout, and 1-0 win, of the year for St. Francis (4-6-2, 3-3-0), which is 3-1-1 in its last five games. The Spartans travel to a nonconference match at Aurora Central on Thursday. Wheaton Academy (6-3-3, 4-1-0) saw its seven-game unbeaten streak end. The Warriors will hit the road this weekend to play three matches in Iowa in the Great River Classic. They open with Columbia on Thursday.

The Bengals took a 2-0 lead on a brace from senior Ian Plancarte and went on to win their fourth in a row. Classmate Gio Cabrera added an insurance goal late in the second half. Junior Ian Evans chipped in with an assist. Oak Forest improved to 8-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in conference, and has won five out of its last six games.

Yusuf Afzal scored off an assist from Esteban Godinez assist for the Raiders, who ended an eight-game losing streak.
Warren 6, Carmel 0
Jack Elkinton scored bookend goals, and Miguel Garcia and Matty Paraskos had a goal and assist each in the big win. The Blue Devils (9-3-1) scored four times in the first 19 minutes to take control. Tyler Hughes added a pair of assists. Lucas Ahonen and Ryan Stanciak contributed goals. Adam Fournier added an assist. Keepers Ethan Cole and Edgar Gonzalez shared the shutout. "Very happy with the way we came out and played especially the first 20 minutes of the match," said coach Jason AHonen. "Carmel had good possession for the first five minutes, but we were able to get that first goal, and we rolled from there. I thought our positioning especially on set pieces and in the attacking third was excellent tonight, and we continue to improve as a unit. Very happy to get some very meaningful minutes for all our players."
