The Huskies, ranked fourth in the Chicagoland Soccer Top 25, took the 10 a.m. title match in pool play to advance to the final against Naperville Central at 6 p.m. Caden Hill scored his second half goal on a Cam Radeke assist, and Patrick Horn earned the shutout for the Huskies (3-1-1), who extended their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1). Benet keeper Evan Lucas made seven saves to keep the no. 8 Redwings in the game, but the offense couldn’t find a goal against the stout Huskies defense. Benet (3-2-0), which saw its three-game win streak end, now takes aim at East Suburban Catholc Conference foe Joliet Catholic at home on Wednesday.

Wheaton Academy 0, Downers Grove North 0 (WA wins Pks 4-2, fifth place)
Goal keeper Declan Finnegan led the Warriors (2-2-1) to the win with five saves and two shootout stops. Haetham Nasr, Caleb Mariotti, Evan Eckert, and Kaiden Massie connected in the decisive session. It was the second-straghit win in PKs for the Warriors (2-2-1), who resume action and open Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division play Thursday at St. Edward.

Eagam Reams continued his scoring roll with four goals and an assist in the romp. Diego Espinoza tallied a brace, Javy Pizano had a goal and an assist and Jacob Barton and Gerardo Morales scored solo goals. Aiden Tomlinson (two), Leo Rocha, Jay Wolcott and Eddie Mercado added helpers for the Cogs (7-1-0), who rebounded from their first loss of the season Wednesday against Belvidere.
