Evan Eckert added an assist. Andrew Hoekstra played 65 minutes of shutout soccer and made three saves. Wheaton Academy (3-1-1, 2-0-0) continues conference play at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Brookfield.

The Sabres (1-2-1) had 12 shots and missed a PK in the draw. Antonio Herrera did not need a save to record the shutout. Marmion moved to the finals against the tourney hosts Saturday afternoon.

Hunter Randolph made eight saves in regulation and fellow keeper Vyto Staniskis worked the shootout and saved the first and last shots for the win. The 11th-ranked Redwings meet no. 3 Naperville North with a championship match bid on the line at 10 a.m. Saturday at Naperville North.

The early season woes continued for the no. 3 Huskies in the loss. Zach Smith's unassisted goal tied the game for Naperville North (1-2-2) in the second half before Geneva put it away. Goalkeepers Jason Barba and Pablo Jara each allowed a goal in one half of work.

South Elgin 5, Hoffman Estates 3
The Storm got a pair of goals from Jeremy Castro and a goal and assist from Lucas Reutimann to win the first game under the lights at South Elgin. Angel Garcia-Resendiz and Grayson Downing each added a goal, and Anthony Sisler, Ryan Doherty and Jose Rangel each added helpers for South Elgin (2-4-0). The Storm concludes the Hillner Classic against St. Francis at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lake Park's East Campus.

The host and 22nd-ranked Titans scored five-straight goals after trailing 1-0 to earn a finals berth against no. 6 St. Patrick. Zach Ochab scored a brace and Justin Leszynski record two assists to lead the way. Tengis Purevrentsen, Jeffrey Keating and Sam Rogers added goals, and Ryan Batka, Julian Issar, Michael Sanchez provided helpers. The title match is at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Thomas Ramsey scored off a Ben Berry assist for Grayslake Central. Keeper Jonathan Piggott made eight saves including a PK stop. "Despite the loss, I couldn't ask any more of the boys tonight," said Rams coach Tom Hamilton. "Both teams gave 100 percent for 80 minutes, and both teams created some quality chances. Credit to Libertyville, they play some great soccer, and they work their tails off to earn their success. We are proud of how well we competed tonight, and we're learning quickly with every day, so if we keep it up the results will come." Grayslake Central meets Glenbrook North in the seventh place game at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Trier. Second-ranked Libertyville will meet no. 7 Lyons for the title at 3 p.m. Saturday at New Trier.
