Hinsdale Central 1, Downers Grove North 1 (HC wins PKs)
Hinsdale Central improved to 9-1-1 (2-0-0 in the WSC) when it extended its conference winning streak to 20-consecutive games over three years. It's the second time this season Central has gone to penalty kicks, and it prevailed both times.
Hinsdale Central has not lost to an Illinois team this season. Coach Wiggins commented, “We spend a lot of time in the offseason making sure that what we set for our schedule puts us in the best position to not only develop our players, but prepare us for the post season run. We are fortunate to play in one of the strongest soccer conferences in Chicagoland, and we get to play a strong non conference schedule. We are better today because of the teams we have played and the way we have set our schedule."
Hinsdale Central next visits Lyons at 7 p.m. Friday.
Lyons 2, York 1
Dylan Jones and Nick Darrus scored for the Lions (8-2-1, 1-0-0) in their conference opener. Lyons travels to Proviso West for a conference match at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday before a big Silver Division home match with Hinsdale Central on Friday.

Naperville North 5, Wheaton North 0
Naperville North (9-2-0, 2-0-0) received a pair of first half goals from sophomore Jack Barry on assists from freshman Josh Penn and one from junior Chris Sullivan. The Huskies added second half goals by Konrad Jurkiewicz (Adam Helf) and Jack Parsons (Trace) Kohley. Riley Wiest (60 minutes in goal) and Bryce Dunlap (20) combined for the shutout.

St. Francis 4, St. Rita 0
The Spartans improved their season record to 6-1-2 (1-1-0 in the CCL) with the shutout. St. Francis' goals were scored by Zach Crescenzo, David Gianos, Leo Herard and Josh Baker on assists by Timmy Pisarski, Carney Herard and Ethan Grosam. The shutout was posted by St. Francis goalkeeper Jonathan Burke with 6 saves.The Spartans host IC Prep at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Riverside-Brookfield 3, Wheaton Academy 1
The Warriors (9-2-1, 1-1-0) lost their second-straight game. Wheaton Academy, which trailed 1-0 at the half, will host St. Charles East at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Bartlett 1, West Chicago 1
The division-leading Hawks (5-4-1, 2-0-1) earned the tie on a Ryan Stratton goal and Venici Leone assist.
Jake Hasenstein contributed 5 saves for Bartlett.
